Formed to invoke emotion through tone and energy, The Commonheart is a band configured of up and coming artists from the Pittsburgh area. The exuberance of the band’s live shows and their affinity for classic R&B and soul is instantly audible in new selections like “Trying to Get Over,” “All I Ever Wanted,” and “Half At Home In Love,” any of which might honestly be mistaken for a Stax or Hi Records deep cut. The redemptive power of music resonates clearly on album opener “How Do I Do This.”
