CREATE is teaming up with Trevor Roark at Main Street Parks, Stevens Point Alliance, the City of Stevens Point, and various downtown business owners to host a parklet design hackathon to imagine and design seasonal parklets to expand gathering, seating, and community spaces within the downtown. Learn more about this placemaking trend and help us design pilot parklets that fit the needs of our community and its businesses!
The event will be held indoors at the IDEA Center - 1039B Ellis St. - and there's no fee to participate.
Parklet Defined: A parklet is a parking space or spaces temporarily/seasonally converted to a public park to provide amenities such as seating, tables, green space, bike parking, or a mix of these things for public/customer use.
