Are you ready to Meet Your Maker? CREATE Portage County is partnering with local makers to bring you opportunities for hands-on maker experiences! Meet Your Maker is a monthly meet-up designed to allow community members to try their hand at an array of maker projects with guidance from Portage County's master makers. These experiences will range from mixology to wreath making, wood carving to building robots.

Meet Your Maker is back for its February installment: Snow Sculpture with Snow Art Zone's Jef Schobert! 

Jef's art has become a wintertime gem in Stevens Point! You may have seen his incredible Snow Art Zone sculptures while driving down Clark Street. Jef creates new and unique sculptures every few days and now he's bringing his expertise to the IDEA Center! There will be an introduction and explanation of Jef's process as well as time to work on your sculpture design idea (come with a list if you'd like!). Then we will head outside in front of the IDEA Center to create art out of one of Wisconsin's greatest resources, snow!

Cost will be $10 per sculpture. Sculptors are welcome to create more than one. Please register by following this link. 

Sculptors are encouraged to bring screwdrivers, small shovels, trowels, and spray bottles if they have them. Other resources will be shared.
