In this fun workshop, you'll learn to paint a landscape "in the style of" the Dutch master Vincent Van Gogh. We'll use the master's works to expand your drawing or painting skills, and to create your own art inspired by his signature brushwork and color.  You'll learn more about Van Gogh by seeing the beauty of the French landscape through his eyes. Your instructor will provide individualized and supportive feedback. You’ll be amazed at your painting inspired by Van Gogh!

All levels are welcome, including beginners. All media: oil, acrylic, or watercolor. Instructor will demo in watercolor.   Supply list sent upon registration.

A lunchtime DVD on Van Gogh will also be shown. Bring bag lunch.

 Instructor Biography.

Jane Barnard is a highly skilled and supportive teacher, a member of the Wisconsin Watercolor Society, Wisconsin Visual Artists and Wisconsin Plein Air Painters. She has a master's degree from Marquette University. Her studies have included the University of Paris (Sorbonne), the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and workshops from master watercolorists.

Jane is a passionate painter and teacher, especially gentle and helpful in encouraging those wanting to stretch their artistic vision and skills. She teaches at The Clearing in Door County, the NE Wis Watercolor Society, Dillmans Creative Art Center, among others. She has led two Art Workshops to Provence, France.
